Before "Marley & Me" John Grogan grew up in a deeply religious Catholic home in the 1960s and 70s. His parents tried to get him to live a Catholic lifestyle. However, John like many young boys was full of mischief, to say the least! Some of the things he revealed about himself from 7-10 years old I feel was unnecessary. It was more than I needed to know!!
This was an interesting memoir of a young middle class American boy growing up in the 60s, as drugs, wine, and girls were in, and religions of parents were out.
It is a book about the relationships between parents, and their children. It's about love, disappointment, and accepting people for who they are. You can expect to shed some tears, but you can expect to laugh a little also.
It was not a favorite book of mine, therefore, I am giving it 2**
I read it for my "Ebook Reading Challenge," and also for "Old Authors Reading Challenge."
This is an ebook I have on my e-reader.
