"The Brass Verdict" Review

Posted by Gigi Ann at 4:58 PM
 Summary:
Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover.  But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next. Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together. Bringing together Michael Connelly's two most popular characters, The Brass Verdict is sure to be his biggest book yet.

My Thoughts:
This is only the second book I've read by Michael Connelly, the first one being "The Lincoln Lawyer."
"The Brass Verdict" is a legal thriller featuring The Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller. This book had me more or less from page 1. The more I read the harder It became to put the book down. There were the twists and turns that kept the story moving along very nicely.

In "The Brass Verdict" there is a unique twist, at least I found it unique. Harry Bosch, Connelly's hero in many of his previous books shows up as the detective investigating the murder of another lawyer, Jerry Vincent. Near the end of the book we find out why they have been brought together in "The Brass Verdict."

I haven't read any of the Harry Bosch books, so will be visiting my library and check some of them out.

Michael Connelly has just become one of my top five favorite authors, and I am looking forward to reading some more of his books.

I really liked this book, therefore I am awarding it 4****

I read this book for my....
"Cozies Reading Challenge"
"Favorite Author Reading Challenge"
"Mount TBR Reading Challenge"

I own this book, it is part of my Personal Library.

I like Michael Connelly's books also Ann. I have 2 pet peeves about my book reading. 1. Too much sexual description and 2. The f word and all other vulgar language. When I find an author that generally stays away from those 2 things..I usually stick with him or her.
