The only evidence they have to go on is a missing cell phone, a stolen book, the victim's letter opener, and an ugly pair of Alpaca wool mittens.
My Thoughts:
This is the first time I've read a book by this author. I want to say thank you to Stacy Verdick Case for providing this book for me to give an honest review for a book tour.
I enjoyed the storyline and it was a good mystery about two lady detectives, Catherine and Louise, out to catch the killers. Catherine was good at her job, but capricious enough to be interesting.
The book had some laugh-out-loud moments, which made it a fun and funny book to read. I wasn't sure who the guilty person was right up until the case was solved. So I was kind of surprised just as the detectives were surprised also.
I would have enjoyed the book much more if the swearing had been left out, however, I realize most people don't mind. So if you can get by all the bad language, you will enjoy this book. Like I said, "I enjoyed the storyline."
I always feel that people who use swear words have a limited vocabulary, and authors who use them are just using them for filler. The book would have been a far better book if all the bad language had been left out. Like I said, 'I enjoyed the storyline.'
I won't be recommending this book because of the language. And I doubt I will read anymore of her books, unless she cleans up the language in the books.
Because of the language I am only awarding it 2** Without the bad language I would have awarded it 4****

Too bad you didn't like it. I don't read many of the Austen spin offs myself.
