"The Good Father" Review

Summary...
A beloved daughter. A devastating choice. And now there's no going back. Four years ago, nineteen-year-old Travis Brown made a choice: to raise his newborn daughter on his own. While most of his friends were out partying and meeting girls, Travis was at home, changing diapers and worrying about keeping food on the table. But he's never regretted his decision. Bella is the light of his life. The reason behind every move he makes. And so far, she is fed. Cared for. Safe. But when Travis loses his construction job and his home, the security he's worked so hard to create for Bella begins to crumble…. Then a miracle. A job in Raleigh has the power to turn their fortunes around. It has to. But when Travis arrives in Raleigh, there is no job, only an offer to participate in a onetime criminal act that promises quick money and no repercussions. With nowhere else to turn, Travis must make another choice for his daughter's sake. Even if it means he might lose her.

My Thoughts...
What a ride...I am never disappointed when I read a book by Diane Chamberlain. This was a page-turner from page one right through to the end.

One of the main themes of this book is, what makes a good father. Another theme is, that of desperation, and how it can drive people to do things they would never do otherwise. I liked the way  Ms. Chamberlain created the story, drawing us into each characters life, and how they all centered around Bella, the little girl, and tied them all together.  All I can say is "What a Ride" suspense, romance, deception, I loved it, and am therefore awarding it 5*****.

Sounds really good! Adding it to my list!

"What is a cozy Mystery?"

A cozy mystery contains no explicit sex and contains no excessive gore or violence. It usually takes place in a close-knit setting with a limited group of suspects. The cozy is light-heart in tone rather than heavy. The main focus of the book is a puzzle and always centers around "whodunit."
